Registration Fees


Sideline Cheer: $260 (this is including a $50 raffle fee for all athletes)

Sideline Cheerleader Ages & Eligibility

A cheerleader cannot be over 14 years old as of July 31st & must be at least 5 years old by July 31st.

SIDELINE CHEERLEADING

Important Dates for Sideline Cheerleading

PARENT MEETING: TBD

SIDELINE PRESEASON CLINICS:  TBD

PRACTICE STARTS:  WEDNESDAY and THURSDAYS  FROM 6:30PM - 8PM.

 

Sideline Practices

Practice Dates & Times: Every Wednesday and Thursdays beginning TBD; Practices are held from 6:30PM - 8PM 

Sideline Cheerleading Practice will be held one night each week, Wednesday's and Thursday's beginning SOON! The season end date is undetermined depending on potential Championship games. 

Location: All practices are held at the Home Field, Stony Creek Sports Park in Blue Bell.  Address: 500 North Wales Road, Blue Bell, PA 19422

Sideline Preseason Clinics

Sideline Preseason Clinics will be held in the Summer, right before the season starts.  We will teach the halftime dance, cheer, motions, etc and it sets the athlete up for success when they are able to learn these skills before the start of regular practices. 

Dates and location of the Preseason Clinics will be posted here, and our Facebook page in advance. Registered Cheerleaders will also be receiving email updates as the season approaches. 

2024 Football Season Schedule

Game Day Expectations

Cheerleaders will cheer for all home games for their assigned team. Games can be either Saturday or Sunday. All cheerleaders will be expected to attend Friday Night home games and playoff’s whether they are home or away.

  • Cheerleaders are required to arrive at the game 30 mins prior to kickoff.
  • Cheerleaders are expected to show up in full uniform and stay for the whole game.

    Post Season & Playoff's

    o Cheerleaders will be invited to travel and cheer for any team that qualifies for playoff/championship games. Details to follow

      

     Athlete & Parent Seasonal Expectations

    Parent Commitment

    We encourage all parents to volunteer and get involved throughout the season. The success of the team depends on the time and dedication of parent volunteers. Please reach out to our coaches to inquire how you can volunteer for the upcoming season. (awtcheerleading@gmail.com)

    Cheerleader Commitment

    Cheerleaders are held to the same obligations as the football players and are required to participate in all events sponsored and hosted by the Ambler Trojan Whitpain Football/Cheerleading organizations i.e. Trunk & Treat, Trojans Day 20th Anniversary Celebrations, and other fundraising or group events that are planned.

     Dismissal from Team for any of the following reasons with NO refund:

     o A cheerleader tells Coaches that she does not want to cheer.

     o  A Cheerleader attempts to intimidate fellow participants at practice by word and/or physical deed. 

     o A cheerleader is an extreme discipline problem. 

     o *See unexcused absences in your cheerleading packet. 

     o Bullying (either in person, or social media) 

     o Please see the Cheerleader and Parent Contract that will be handed out prior to start of the season.

    Practice Expectations for Sideline 

     o Cheerleaders must wear athletic sneakers. No sandals, slip-ons, street shoes, flip-flops, slippers. 

     o Hair needs to be pulled back in a ponytail, bun, braid, etc so the cheerleader’s hair does not become a distraction at practice.  

  • Cheerleaders should wear weather and activity appropriate clothing. Dressing in layers is highly suggested. 
    • No distracting clothing (sequin shirts/shoes, light up shoes or accessories)
    • No jewelry
    • No loose/baggy clothes (can be dangerous when stunting and tumbling)

 o Practices are mandatory unless a legitimate excused absence has been discussed with coaches in advance. 

Uniforms

Cheerleaders will be issued uniform top & skirts (female)/pants (male) to wear during the season. Skirts must be returned at the end of the season in the same condition they were issued. No uniforms will be issued to cheerleaders whose registration fees are not met in full.

 o Cheerleaders will also be issued 2 bows [1] Gold/Blue Bow [1] Pink Bow to support Breast Cancer Awareness to be worn at all games during the month of October.  These items are for the cheerleaders to keep. 

 o Cheerleaders will need to purchase white socks and all white sneakers (cheer shoes not required for sideline). If your cheerleader is on competition team, they will need two sets of shoes, one for comp and one for sideline. The comp shoes may only touch the comp mats. Specific links for items to purchase will be available before the season begins. The Competition Squad will have specific items to purchase for their uniform as well.  

 o Pom-Poms will be used throughout the season and be distributed and collected before and after each game.

End of Season Celebration

An End of Season Celebration will be planned for Sideline and Competition when our seasons come to a close. More details are to follow on this & we will continue to monitor and follow CDC guidelines for optimal safety at events such as this throughout our 2024 season.
